Personal Care Aide – Personal care aides are permitted to perform fewer health-related tasks than home health aides. Personal care aides, who have been trained in approved personal care activities, are issued a certificate from a NYSDOH or NYSED approved training program, which must offer a minimum of 35 hours of training.
